Bobbin-Buzz Has Moved
All business owners face challenges. Last year at this time we were trying to come up with a way to support the growing numbers of site visitors we get every day. This is actually a "Good Problem" for a web business owner :-) but a problem none-the-less.
One solution that came up was to move to a new and bigger web-server computer. As everyone that has changed computers knows, it can be a big pain with all the file moving and setting up programs again and so on. Changing the computer our website is hosted on is an even bigger pain.
The Good Idea: That's when I had an "Aha" moment... let's give Bobbin-Buzz it's own website! That would relieve the load on our main computer! It seemed like a good idea at the time. So a couple weeks later we had The Bobbin-Buzz on a different website.
The Not-So-Good Idea: We had quite a few people that were confused by the entirely separate website with links back to the main ATW website. We also had brought our friend Nita's newsletter ("Stitchin' Bits") onto the new website at the same time. And many people were confused by that also. Some of the questions we got in emails told us that some readers thought our business and Nita's were merged together. That's not the case! Nita and Holly are "BFF" but our businesses are still independent of each other. But I can see why they'd be confused...

The Old Bobbin-Buzz Site
Fast-forward another six months to January 2008... and our main computer that hosts ATW was getting old enough that we had to replace it. So we bought a new one and bit the bullet in February and moved into the new computer which could now provide plenty of bandwidth and hard drive space for our site again.
The 2nd Duh Moment: Robin is on vacation this week and I'm handling all the webmaster emails. Ay-yi-yi-yi! (Hurry home Robin!) I see we are still getting emails with questions created by the Bobbin-Buzz being on it's own website. Since we now have the space on the ATW computer to host the Bobbin-Buzz "in-house" again on our main computer I talked with Holly about this and decided to move The Bobbin-Buzz back home again.
So starting with this week, all our "Bobbin-Buzz News" emails will once again bring visitors directly to the ATW website.
